A Visual Ethnography
At 16 years old, I created a photojournalism project that documented the environment of San Francisco's Chinatown. I shot over 4,000 photos on digital and film throughout a three week period. With two weeks of processing, editing and narrowing down images, I created a final photo book of 200 prints.

The front and back cover are made from fortune cookies direct from a historic factory in the heart of Chinatown. For the back cover, I broke them to pieces, revealing their fortunes—a metaphor for revealing images of this urban environment and leaving the reader with something to think about.
